Flooding
We are currently working with FEMA to obtain reimbursement for the costs associated with the flooding.
It may take as long as 6-7 months to obtain any funding.
2011-2012 Budget
On Monday, Sept.12, 2011, the City Council approved a budget with no increase in taxes. Despite the loss of
approximately 1 million dollars in State Aid, budget cuts were made, bonds were re-financed, and some
street projects were put on hold in an attempt to keep the tax levy at the same rate of $.55 per $100 of assessed valuation.
